Press conferences show support for Maryland's open space
Maryland’s open spaces are what makes this
state such a fantastic place to live and play.
Our forests and farms provide valuable habitat,
create clean water for our rivers and the Chesapeake
Bay, and add to our quality of life. Unfortunately,
we’re seeing a steady encroachment
on our open spaces from development. Every
year, more than 17,000 acres are developed in
Maryland—an area larger than Manhattan. |
