Solar for All

Millions of Americans are ready to go solar so we can power our lives and our communities with clean, renewable, local energy. Yet some utilities and other special interests want to throw new obstacles in the way. Our Solar for All campaign is working to knock those barriers out of the way.

Program

Save the Monarch

As the monarchs begin their 3,000-mile fall migration, we need to make sure this migration isn't their last. That's why we're calling on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to declare the monarch butterfly a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.

Program

No Bees, No Food

Millions of bees are dying off, with alarming consequences for our environment and our food supply. We rely on bees to pollinate everything from almonds to strawberries to the alfalfa used to feed dairy cows. What happens if the bees disappear? It’s simple: No bees, no food. Let's give bees a chance.

Keep Maryland Safe From Drilling

Oil and gas companies want to start drilling in Maryland using a dangerous process called hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking."  They want to get started as soon as possible, regardless of the dangerous effects of drilling we’re seeing in nearby states like Pennsylvania.  Well, they’ve got a fight on their hands – thousands of Marylanders are joining our effort to help stop gas drilling from threatening our environment and our public health.

It's time to reveal America's next top polluter ...

Who is America’s next top polluter? It’s not who you might think. Research shows that today one of the biggest threats to our water is how big corporations are running—and ruining—many of America’s farms.

Program

Go Solar

While more of us are trying to go solar, dirty energy companies keep putting up new roadblocks. We’re urging our leaders to go big on solar and leave dirty energy behind.

Program

Global Warming Solutions

Over the past eight years, we’ve taken significant steps to make sure we leave kids growing up today a cleaner, healthier planet. We refuse to let environmental progress stopnot when the reality of climate change demands we move quickly toward a 100% renewable energy economy.

Program

Defend the places we love

If Washington, D.C. dismantles our environmental protections, Americans will be left with dirtier air to breathe, dirtier water to drink and swim in, a more rapidly changing climate, and more degraded public lands. We’re working to defend the places we love and the environmental values we share. Take action now.

Program

Climate Can't Wait

Our country needs to do more to fight climate change. Unfortunately, the decisions being made in Washington, D.C., right now are moving us in the wrong direction. Luckily, Maryland is part of the best regional clean air and climate program you’ve never heard of: the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. Our governor needs to lead, because climate can’t wait.

Clean Water for America

When it comes to our streams, rivers, lakes and wetlands, they all deserve protection. Period. That's why we're working to defend the Clean Water Act. With your support, we're urging senators to vote against any attempts to roll back the Clean Water Rule, which ensures the protection of more than 2 million miles of rivers and streams and the drinking water sources for one in three Americans.
