We're restoring the Chesapeake Bay

As every Marylander knows, the Chesapeake Bay — and its delicate ecosystem — is important to Maryland’s natural heritage. After months of campaigning, we helped put in place a promising new plan to crack down on the Bay’s worst polluters. This year, we built on that success, winning new rules to reduce pollution from urban developments and factory farms.

Marylanders Would Save Over $4.89 Million on Thanksgiving Travel With Clean Cars

As Maryland families prepare for one of the busiest travel holidays of the year, and just days after the Obama administration proposed new fuel efficiency standards for cars and trucks, a new Environment Maryland report finds that more fuel efficient cars would make significant cuts in oil use and save Marylanders roughly $4.89 million at the gas pump this Thanksgiving alone.
