Dear President-elect Obama:
 
Converting America’s pollution-based economy to one fueled by 100 percent clean, homegrown energy is key to improving our electricity security, solving global warming, and jump-starting our economy.   
 
In your first 100 days as president, I urge you to commit to repowering America with 100 percent clean, renewable electricity such as wind and solar and to cut our dependence on oil in half.

As a first step, I call on you to make these goals a cornerstone of your budget and of any economic recovery plan: energy efficiency improvements, the rapid deployment of renewable energy, curbing global warming, and the development of a skilled workforce to accomplish these goals.
