In this time of budgetary crisis, state official should rethink how we
spend our transportation dollars so we can get the most bang for the
buck. Instead of subsidizing new roads and forcing people into hours
of traffic every day, we should be investing in transit to give people
transportation choices for getting to work and school. Future development should be focused in the areas around transit stations to complement this focus on
transit investment.
